Contact
One address, read by a person
There is no support queue, no chatbot and no contact form that disappears into an inbox nobody owns. Everything goes to the same place, and the person who reads it is the person who writes the code.
Usually answered within a couple of days. It is one person, so it is occasionally slower — but it is never nobody.
What to write about
Most useful
A receipt scanned wrong
The most useful email we get. Attach the original photo or PDF if you still have it, and say what came out wrong — a missing line, a merged line, a tax figure that landed in the wrong place. Parser fixes come almost entirely from these.
Bug
Something is broken
Say what you tapped, what you expected, and what happened instead. The browser and whether it was a phone or a laptop narrows it down enormously; a screenshot narrows it further.
Privacy
Privacy and your data
Asking what is held about you, or asking for it to be deleted. There is no button for either in the app — they are done by hand, from this address, and the privacy page sets out exactly what deletion can and cannot remove.
Ideas
Something is missing
A currency, a receipt format that does not work, a split that your group needs and the app cannot express. Feature requests that come with the actual receipt attached get built first.
Faster than emailing
These come up often enough to be written down already:
- How it stays free — what an ad pays for, and why there is no paid tier.
- What is stored about me — every field, where it lives, and how long it stays.
- Is it safe to upload a receipt — who can reach a receipt image, and what a share link does and does not expose.
- How do I split this particular thing — grocery baskets, delivery orders, roommates, trips.
- The legal terms — short, and in English rather than lawyer.
What we cannot help with
EachSplit never handles money — it works out who owes what and stops there. So if a friend has not paid you back, there is nothing we can do about it: no payment to reverse, no balance to release, nobody to escalate to. The same goes for a charge from a restaurant, a delivery service or a card. Those are between you and them.
What we can do is delete things. A quick split is saved against a guest account in your browser rather than an email address, so we cannot find it from your name alone — but if you can still open the split, send us the link from the address bar and it goes, receipt included.
